About Us

Where MariFlo Starts:

The floral industry is full of skilled practitioners who learned most of what they know by doing it — which produces a particular kind of competence: strong in familiar territory, less certain when something falls outside established experience. MariFlo was built to complement that experiential foundation with the structured knowledge that makes it more durable and more transferable.

The Curriculum Logic:

Programs at MariFlo are built around three interconnected knowledge areas: the biology of the material, the mechanics of the design, and the commercial logic of the business. Each shapes the others in practice — a florist who understands stem biology makes better design decisions because they know what different materials can sustain. One who understands design mechanics prices more accurately because they understand what different results actually require. The curriculum reflects those connections.

The Instructors:

Our programs are developed with input from florists who have worked across retail, studio, event, and installation contexts — people who have priced jobs that nearly broke even, managed wholesale relationships through difficult supply periods, and produced large-format work under the kind of time and logistical pressure that reveals the gaps in any practitioner’s knowledge. That operational reality shapes every program we build.

The Learner We Build For:

MariFlo is for floral practitioners who have moved past the beginner stage and want development that matches where they actually are. Not introductory content repackaged with professional language — programs with genuine depth that assume a working foundation and build meaningfully from it.
