The focus is on applying biological knowledge practically: why cutting angle affects uptake, what storage temperature does to respiration rate, and how to adjust conditioning protocols for different species rather than applying a single procedure across the board.

You’ll work with:

• Vascular function and the factors that impair water uptake from cutting through display
• Ethylene production by species type and how to manage it across mixed-variety storage
• Conditioning and solution chemistry for different stem categories and display durations

Duration: +/- 3 hours
